As part of a major transformation program our client – a multi billion dollar media and entertainment corporation -  was implementing a new core system.  A Critical Success Factor was assessing the risks associated with the impacts of the transformation on the IT and Shared Services organisations and developing a rapid approach to addressing those risks.

hunterPac Consulting was engaged to assess the risks, develop recommendations and execute the recommendations in a compressed timescale.  Process clarity and a clear demarcation of responsibilities between participating organisational groups was one key element of their work.

The IT and Enterprise program assessed the implementation risk and impact on the organisation and designed solutions to address and mitigate these risks.  This was underpinned by a structured governance process to ensure all stakeholders were engaged.

In Summary:

  • Four functional areas  (Architecture, Testing, Data Management and Application Services) were identified.  These were  either complex, critical to Day 1 service delivery or were strategically important to driving value from the investment in the new application set.

These functional project areas needed to be accelerated to allow the organisation to be ready for Day 1.

Our hunterPac  team worked closely with the client stream leads to redesign core processes, organisational structures and roles and responsibilities.  This was successfully done in less than six weeks.
